  2. We stayed in mid June of 2021. Sorry for the late review. There were 10 of us - 2 grandparents, 4 parents, and 4 grandchildren. It was perfect for us. We like to cook and the kitchen is a dream for cooks. We liked the location - Glidden Road is good for for bicycling and those that are more adventurous can bike to the Anhapee Trail or north to Jacksonport and Bailey's Harbor. I should keep it it a secret, but the Jacksonport beach is great for the kids to spend time swimming. We all loved it. We also spent a great day at Newport State Park complete with hotdogs and s'mores. The house has lots of room for everyone to do their own thing but also room for us to get together for dinners and games. The landscaping is beautiful. We saw the seasons change just in the week we were there and I assume each month brings is own beauty. I was expecting mosquitos because of the location, but at least in mid June, they were not a problem and we enjoyed being outside very much. Problems were minor and Lundquist was very responsive when we did need help. Skip Gliddens Lodge for dinner - the food was ordinary and mediocre and the dining room felt crowded and stuffy. There are so many really good restaurants in Door County. The house, however, was perfect for us.

  3. We stayed here last June. There were 10 of us - three generations. We loved the house - lots of room for everyone to do their thing. Beautiful, functional kitchen. Lovely landscaping. We really enjoyed being on the quiet side of Door County. The bicycling is great right outside the door on quiet roads. I expected a problem with mosquitoes, but in mid June, they were not a problem. Jacksonport beach is great for kids. Skip Donny's Glidden lodge. Overpriced, mediocre food. Stuffy atmosphere. There are so many great restaurants in Door County.

  4. Wow! Sounds like the perfect winter getaway! So happy you enjoyed this beautiful home and your stay. Hope to see you again soon, Beth!

  5. This a beautiful home with plenty of space and amenities for our group. We were fortunate to arrive on the edge of a winter storm that brought eight inches of snow overnight. The woods behind the house was snow covered and beautiful. We had two days of snowshoeing in the Shivering Sands Natural Area surrounding the property. Enjoyed dinner at Donny's Glidden Lodge within walking distance from the house. It was a perfect winter getaway. Thanks for sharing your home! Beth K. January, 2020
